This page explains the privacy policy for the Mystery Duck. The Mystery Duck respects the importance of your privacy. This privacy policy will explain how we gather and use any information you give to us, and what you can do about it.

What and why
If you are browsing the Mystery Duck without being registered, we gather no personal information about you apart from the standard HTTP information that is stored in our web logs. Only when you register will we actually require you to give us personal details like email, password, name, date of birth and gender. Once you are a member, you have the option to submit further details.

Any information we gather is required in order to operate our site effectively. The Mystery Duck encourages you to submit some personal details and become a member otherwise you cannot use the facilities of the site.

We will collect anonymous data regarding activities on the site to determine what operations people in general prefer.

Access to your information
You have access to any information that you submitted when you signed up to become a member of the Mystery Duck. You can request to be unregistered from our database at anytime (or use the built-in facility). This will remove any and all personal information that you gave to us and remove any links and connections you have with other members.

Other people
We will not supply your personal information to any thrid party, except where you have agreed to link to other members then they can see some of your information. It is assumed you will only link to family and friends. The only exception to this is where unidentifiable data (primarily country, age and gender) may be supplied to third-party advertisers to present on-page advertising that would be appropriate to you, or a person to whom you are connected.

How long we keep it
We will store information about you as long as you are a member. If you remove yourself, or ask us to remove you then all personal information will be removed at that time.

The Mystery Duck requires the use of cookies for its site to function. They are used to identify an individual as they use the site.
